Jeff Young is a noted singer/songwriter, and keyboardist in Santa Monica, California. Originally from Mount Vernon New York, he has a rich musical history and earned a BFA in music at Ithaca College in 1978. Jeff brings his expertise and experience to the world’s most celebrated recording artists. Having performed in a variety of musical settings throughout his career, he has recorded and performed with: Jackson Browne, Steely Dan & Donald Fagen, Sting, Tracy Chapman, Keb Mo, Bo Diddley, Alan Holdsworth, Alanis Morrissette, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen, Robert Plant, Mavis Staples, Shawn Colvin, Curtis Stigers, Gary Clark Jr., Warren Haynes, Sheryl Crow, Doyle Bramhall II, Kat Edmonson, Vonda Shepherd , TM Stevens, Catherine Russell, Will Lee, Steve Jordan, Jimmy Vivino & the Black Italians. Jeff’s diversity, professionalism and musical flexibility enable him to bring his unique style to many musical situations. As an artist he has recorded many albums and is currently working on his sixth which he plans to release in 2019. Jeff plays piano and sings in a setting he calls More Song Than Dance. It’s an autobiographical journey of original songs, and stories that review certain stops along the way of a 40 year career.
